ALTAF HUSSAIN ASKS YOUTH TO WORK FOR BRINGING A POSITIVE CHANGE IN THE COUNTRY

REVOLUTION IS THE ULTIMATE OBJECTIVE. PARTY FLAG IS IMMATERIAL

KARACHI: 9TH NOVEMBER 2011

Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain said that he had been asking the people to raise a genuine leadership from the middle class having strong moral fiber and charged with the feeling to serve the nation. He said that it was immaterial to him whether the people get united under the flag of the MQM or the PTI. He said this while speaking on telephone at the main camp of the Khidmat-i-Khalq Foundation (KKF) on the third day of the Eid.

Deputy Conveners Dr Farooq Sattar, Anis Ahmed Qaimkhani, members of the Co-ordination Committee, MNAs, MPAs, office-bearers of various wings of the MQM, trustees of the SUN Charity and prominent social and business personalities, artists, columnists and people belonging to different spheres of lives were also present on the occasion.

Mr Hussain said that he only wanted that the educated people should come forward, and he had congratulated the PTI on their successful meeting at the Minar-i-Pakistan because of this. The flag did not matter. The ultimate objective of the struggle was a revolution.

Mr Hussain said that he was not envied if the youth united under the flag of any other party. It was his lifetime mission to bring honest people from the middle and lower middle class in the forefront.

Mr Hussain said that the MQM wants a peaceful revolution in the country. He asked the young people if they were ready to break the status quo and bring a peaceful revolution under the banner of the MQM. They replied that they were ready to work for the revolution.

Mr Hussain paid tributes to the martyrs of the MQM and said that it was because of their supreme sacrifices that the voices for the revolution were being heard in throughout the country.

Mr Hussain hoped that the young people will come forward and use their abilities to spread the philosophy of “Realism and Practicalism” in the length and breadth of the country.

“We want justice, peace, democracy, sectarian harmony as well as inter-faith harmony among the followers of all the religions in the country.”

Mr Hussain asked the office-bearers and workers of the Women Wing of the MQM to form delegation and travel throughout the country in order to spread the political philosophy of the MQM and inform the people about the services that the MQM had rendered for the humanity.

Mr Hussain paid glowing tributes to the MQM workers, office-bearers and parliamentarians on their untiring efforts in the collection of the hides of sacrificial animals. He praised the workers as determined, selfless having extraordinary capacity to give results. He praised them for putting aside their Eid happiness for the noble cause of helping the poor and the needy.

He praised the law-enforcing agencies for maintaining law and order during the Eid days.
