DEATH ANNIVERSARY OF AZIM AHMED TARIQ OBSERVED IN LONDON

Death anniversary of Azim Ahmed Tariq, the martyred chairman of the MQM, was observed at the International Secretariat of the MQM in London with reverence. Fateha was offered for the eternal peace of the soul of the martyred chairman, and rich tributes were paid to him and other martyrs of the movement. Mr Altaf Hussain, founder and leader of the MQM, members of the Co-ordination Committee Mr Tariq Jawed, Mr Mustafa Azizabadi, Mr Muhammad Ashfaq, Mr Wasay Jalil, Mr Asif Siddiqui and Mr Qasim Ali Raza attended the fateha. Office-bearers and workers of the International Secretariat and UK Unit were also present on the occasion. Mr Hussain recited fateha and special prayers were made for Azim Ahmed Tariq, martyr of revolution Dr Imran Farooq, Nasir Hussain, Arif Hussain and other martyrs of the movement. Prayers were offered for the progress and prosperity of the country as well.

 

 

ALTAF HUSSAIN CONDEMNS BLAST IN KHAR BAZAR AREA OF BAJAUR AGENCY

LONDON: 4TH MAY 2012

Mr Altaf Hussain, founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement, has strongly condemned the deadly bomb blast in Tehsil Khar of the Bajaur Agency in which several people, including levies personnel were killed and many others seriously injured. He has expressed his profound grief and sorrow over the loss of lives in the blast.

Mr Hussain said that the elements carrying out such blasts were open enemies of the country, and they wanted to create instability and chaos. He demanded of President Asif Zardari, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik and Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to take serious notice of the incident and bring the callous perpetrators to book.

Mr Hussain offered condolences to the bereaved families who lost their loved-ones in the attack. He prayed for the eternal peace of the deceased persons and for courage and patience for the families to bear the great loss.
