ALTAF HUSSAIN CONDEMNS BLAST IN A HOTEL SALARZAI  BAJUR

The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has strongly condemned the bomb blast In a hotel , Salarzai , Bajur Agency. He expressed grief and sorrow over the death of Several persons in the blast and injuries many others. He said that terrorists making innocent people a victim of their terrorist activities were open enemies of humanity. They want to create instability in the country. The terrorists did not have any religion and they only believed in naked barbarism.

He sympathized with the family members of those who were lost their lives in the blast. He prayed for the eternal peace of those killed in the blast and the early recovery of the injured. He also demanded of President Asif Zardari, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani and Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik to take notice of the blast in Salarzai. He said that the government should make all effort to put to an end the menace of terrorism.

 

MQM MPAs DEPLORE DISTRIBUTION OF EXTORTION SLIPS BY ARMED TERRORISTS

Members of the Sindh Assembly (MPAs) belonging to Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) have deplored the act of terrorizing the traders and shopkeepers of tyre market on M A Jinnah road for demanding extortion money by terrorists armed with latest firearms. In a joint statement the MPAs said that criminal elements were distributing extortion slips to traders and shopkeepers. They were also making threatening with terrible consequences and abduction of the family members if their demand for extortion is not met. This had created a sense of fear and insecurity among the traders and shopkeepers.

The MPAs said that the increase in the antisocial activities of criminal elements had badly hit the business community in the city. They recalled that a few months ago armed terrorists had killed a number of people in Sher Shah Kabari market and a grenade was hurled at a shop for refusing to pay extortion money. They said that failure to give protection to traders and shopkeepers was an act of criminal negligence worthy of strong condemnation.

The MPAs demanded of President Asif Zardari, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani, Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik, Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad and Chief Minister Sindh to take due notice of the distribution of extortion slip in the tyre market. They said that the thuggery of armed terrorists should be stopped and the shopkeepers and traders should be given protection at all cost.
