ALTAF HUSSAIN’S MESSAGE ON MOTHER’S DAY

LONDON: 8TH MAY 2011:

The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has said that a mother is the most honorable and the greatest personality in the world. In a special message on the occasion of the world mother’s day Mr Hussain said that the tender embrace of a mother is the first place of learning for a child. He said that a mother raises an entire generation and not an individual only.

Mr Hussain said that his beloved and brave mother Khursheed Begum (late) always taught him to walk on the path of truth and righteousness and gave him the courage and strength to brave difficulties in the path of truthfulness. “What I am today is because of the finest upbringing and guidance of my mother”. Mr Husain appealed to all Pakistanis to give respect to their parents and honor the dignity of their mothers.

 

MOTHER’S DAY PROGRAM ORGANIZED BY MQM WOMEN WING

KARACHI: 8TH MAY 2011:

The Women Wing of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) organized a programmed in Lal Qila ground on the occasion of international “Mother’s Day”. In-charge of the women wing and member of national assembly Kishwar Zohra shed light on the importance of the day. A large number of mothers including joint in-charge of the women wing Naila Latif, members of the working committee and worker of the women wing attended the program.

Speaking on the occasion Ms Kishwar Zohra said that Allah has enjoined upon us to give respect to our mothers. She said that honor and success lies in serving our parents particularly mothers. She said that the mother of Mr Altaf Hussain was a great mother who taught his son to walk with firm steps on the path of truthfulness. She said that Mr Altaf Hussain has been struggling for the rights of the poor and downtrodden people of the country with the blessings of his great mother.

 

ALTAF HUSSAIN CONDEMNS BLAST ON GT ROAD IN PESHAWAR

LONDON: 8TH MAY 2011:

The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has strongly condemned the explosion on GT Road in Peshawar and expressed his grief and sorrow over serious injuries to many people. He termed the explosion a blatant act of terrorism and said that the determination of politicians, armed forces, paramilitary forces, police and general public could not be wavered by such dastardly and ruthless acts of wanton terrorism.

Mr Hussain said that the sacrifices rendered by the people of Pakistan, armed forces, paramilitary forces and police would not go in vain. He said that a day would come when the nation would get deliverance from the monster of terrorism. He appealed to President Asif Zardari, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani and Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik to take serious notice of the blast on GT Road. He said that the government should use all available resources to finish the menace of terrorism and the life and property of the public should be secured at all cost.

 

DECLAMATION CONTEST BEING ORGANIZED BY GAHWARA-E-ADAB

KARACHI: 8TH MAY 2011

A declamation contest is being organized under gahwara-e-adab in the arts auditorium of University of Karachi on Tuesday the 10th May. Participants from educational institutions at Pakistan level will take part in the contest. Deputy Parliamentary Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement in the National Assembly Mr Haider Abbas Rizvi will preside over the programme and former City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal will be the chief guest.
