CONDOLENCE MEETING IN MEMORY OF FAROOQ BAIG AND LIAQUAT QURESHI

KARACHI: 3RD MAY 2011:
 

A condolence meeting was held in memory of the martyred leaders of the MQM Liaquat Ali Qureshi and Farooq Baig at Khursheed Begum Secretariat. Members and office-bearers of various wings of the MQM attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Deputy Convener of the Co-ordination Committee Anis Ahmed Qaimkhani. Members of the Co-ordination Committee Asif Siddiqui, Kunwar Khalid Yunus, Naik Muhammad, Dr Nusrat, Syed Mustafa Kamal, Yousuf Shahwani, Syed Shakir Ali, Kaif-ul-Wara, Salim Tajik, Shahid Latif, Ashfaq Mangi and Saif Yar Khan were also present in the meeting.
 

Glowing tributes were paid to Farooq Baig, Liaquat Qureshi and all other martyrs of the MQM. Deputy Convener Anis Qaim Khani said that the ideological, sincere, and faithful workers are the invaluable assets of the movement. He said the workers who had laid down their lives for the objectives of the movement will always live in the annals of the history.
 

He said that the supreme sacrifices rendered by the martyrs will bear fruit and the movement will definitely reach its destination one day. Fateha was offered for the blessings of the souls of haq parast martyrs. Special prayers were offered for the health and long life of Mr Altaf Hussain Founder & Leader Of MQM.

 

 

 

 

SOYEM OF FAROOQ BAIG TO BE HELD TOMORROW

MQM MPAs DEMAND ACTION AGAINST KILLERS

KARACHI: 3RD MAY 2011:

 

Soyem of Farooq Baig, member Karachi Tanzimi Committee, who was killed by the firing of armed terrorists yesterday, will be held in Lal Qila Ground tomorrow. Fateha and recitation of the Holy Quran will be offered for the blessing and divine forgiveness of the martyred senior worker of the party.

Meanwhile members of Sindh Assembly belonging to Muttahida Quami Movement have demanded immediate action against the killers involved in the assassination of Farooq Baig, Liaquat Ali Qureshi. They said that more than one hundred other workers and sympathizers of the MQM that have been put to death in the last four months but not a single killer has been arrested so far.

The MPAs asserted that determination of the MQM workers cannot be wavered by planned and targeted assassinations of the MQM workers. They said that the blood of the innocent people will bring a revolution in the country.

The MPAs offered their condolences to the bereaved family members of Farooq Baig and Liaquat Qureshi. They demanded of President Asif Zardari, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani, Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik and Chief Minister Sindh to take strong and effective action against the killers of the MQM workers.
