CALLS A MEETING TO DISCUSS THE SITUATION OBTAINING
IN PAKISTAN AFTER THE KILLING OF OSAMA BIN LADEN

The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain
convened an important meeting on Tuesday in order to discuss the situation
obtaining in Pakistan after the killing of Osama Bin Laden. The meeting that was
held simultaneously in London, Karachi and Islamabad continued for several
hours. Members of the Co-ordination Committee in London and Pakistan, Provincial
Ministers, Members of Sindh Assembly and office-bearers of various wings of the
MQM took part in the meeting. MQM Senators and members of National Assembly
present in Islamabad joined through telephone. The meeting that was presided
over by Mr Altaf Hussain discussed in detail the sensitive situation developed
after the killing of Osama Bin Laden by a raid of US forces and the relations
between Pakistan and the United States. Mr Altaf Hussain has prepared a detailed
message for the people of Pakistan for their guidance keeping in view the
present precarious situation of the country. The message will be released to the
press and media tomorrow.
