MQM WILL BRING A PEACEFUL REVOLUTION THROUGH THE BALLOT: DR FAROOQ SATTAR

LAHORE: 23RD MARCH 2011: 

The Deputy Convener of the Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Dr Farooq Sattar has said that the MQM wants to bring a peaceful revolution in the country through the ballot and if the path of a peaceful revolution is obstructed then there will be even bigger revolution then was seen in Tunis and Egypt. Dr Sattar was speaking to the journalists at a dinner hosted by the Chairman of the LPG Distribution Association Mr Irfan Khokhar.

Dr Sattar said that the MQM wants to enter into the political arena of the Punjab and other provinces of the country with an open heart. He said that the MQM will send the people from working class in the corridors of power and will preferably give tickets to party workers keeping in view its long traditions. He said that the time has come for the people of the Punjab to change their fate with their own hands.

Dr Sattar said that if the people of the Punjab want to change the fate of Pakistan then they must play practical role for the national security and prosperity of the country under the leadership of Mr Altaf Hussain. He said that after coming into power the MQM will lay the foundation of a civilized society based on the principles of equality and social justice. He asserted that the MQM is the only political party in the country that will fulfil the dreams of the founder of the nation Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

Speaking about the situation in Karachi Dr Sattar said that the MQM does not have any role in the control of the law and order in the city. He informed them that the MQM has given a detailed list of criminals who are directly responsible for destroying peace in the city. He said that it is now up to the law-enforcing agencies to work on that list. He said that we built the infrastructure of Karachi and brought an era of industrialization.

Members of the Co-ordination Committee Wasay Jalil, Iftakhar Akbar Randhwa and In-charge of Lahore Zone Syed Anwer Gillani were also present on the occasion.
