MQM WARMLY WELCOMES SUPREME COURT SUGGESTION FOR

FORMATION OF A COMMISSION TO RECOVER BIG LOANS

The Co-ordination Committee of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has warmly welcomed the suggestion by the Supreme Court of Pakistan to establish a commission for taking action in the first phase against those who availed loans of more than 100 million rupees from the national exchequer and got it written-off. The Committee said that MQM Founder and Leader Mr Altaf Hussain has been consistently demanding action from the superior judiciary and the people at the helm of affairs against those who defrauded and robbed the national exchequer.

The Committee said that Mr Altaf Hussain had written a letter to the Honourable Chief Justice of Pakistan on 6^th July 2009 and now the formation of a commission against those who got loans above 100 million written off in the first phase will be highly commendable. The Committee said that those who obtained hefty loans and got them written-off cannot be true to the nation and the country and the formation of a commission against them will reflect the aspirations of the people of the country. The Committee said that the recovery of huge loans will support the falling economy of the country.
