STUDENTS SHOULD USE THEIR ABILITIES TO MAKE THE FUTURE OF THE COUNTRY BRIGHT: ALTAF HUSSAIN
LONDON: 13TH MARCH 2011
The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement Mr Altaf Hussain has said that the MQM advocates equal rights for men and women and it is endeavouring for the abolition of all the discriminatory and oppressive laws against women in the country. He said this while talking to the members of the committee of Girls Wing of Karachi Division and girl students of Karachi University Sector of the APMSO. Members of the Co-ordination Committee of MQM and central committee of APMSO were also present on the occasion.
Mr Altaf Hussain said that the difference between men and women has been practically eliminated in the MQM and they have always been considered as equal in the party. He said that the women are given respect and honour in MQM and it is because of this that a large number of women always attend public meetings of the MQM without any fear and apprehension on the part of their family members.
He said that the women have always braved difficult times with courage and determination along with their brothers in the long history of the MQM and its transformation from a student organization to a vibrant political party. He praised the women for their unparalleled determination, valour and steadfastness.
He said that it is because of the participation of women that the message of the MQM has transcended the limits of Karachi and Hyderabad and gaining wide acceptance in the Interior Sindh, the Punjab, Baluchistan, Khyber Pakhtoonkhwah, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir. He said the time is not far when the oppressed and the persecuted people of the country will unite under the MQM and bring to an end the decadent and oppressive system from the country.
He asked the students to concentrate on their studies and use their abilities for making the bright future of their country. He asked them to serve the humanity and respect their parents and teachers. He also asked them to participate in widely disseminating the message of the party in every part of the country.
