OUTGOING FRENCH AMBASSADOR VISITS NINE ZERO

KARACHI: 21ST JUNE 2011

The outgoing ambassador of France Mr David Jouanneau paid a farewell visit to the Head Office of Muttahida Quami Movement today. He was accompanied by the French Consul General in Karachi Mr Christian Rommage. The honourable guests were received at Nine Zero by Deputy Convener of Co-ordination Committee Dr Farooq Sattar. Members of the Committee Mrs Nasrin Jalil and Kunwar Khalid Yunus and Provincial Minister for Youths Affairs Mr Faisal Sabzwari were also present on the occasion.  Both the sides exchanged views on the political affairs of the country in general and the Sindh province in particular.

Mr Jouanneau later on delivered a lecture to youths belonging to various wings of the MQM. He discussed terrorism, strengthening economic ties between the two countries and the success of democracy.  The guests stayed at Nine Zero for over two hours.

 

MQM CO-ORDINATION COMMITTEE CONDOLES THE DEATH OF JUSTICE KAMAL MANSOOR

The Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has offered its condolences on the sad demise of the former chief justice of Sindh High Court and a judge of the Supreme Court Mr Justice Kamal Mansoor. The committee sympathized with the bereaved family members and prayed for the divine forgiveness of the departed soul.

Meanwhile a condolence meeting was held at the office of MQM Legal Aid Committee. In-charge Legal Aid Committee Mr Muqeem Alam and other members of the committee attended the condolence meeting. It was said that with the death of Justice Kamal Mansoor a bright chapter in the history of judiciary has ended. The important decisions given by Justice Kamal would always continue to guide lawyers in the days to come.
