MQM PUTS UP RELIEF CAMPS IN THE PROVINCE TO BRACE FOR THE IMPENDING TROPICAL CYCLONE

Emergency relief camps have been put by Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) in various parts of the province in the coastal areas in view of the impending tropical cyclone and heavy rains. The relief camps have been set up by Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation (KKF). The main camp has been established at the head office of the KKF situated in Federal B Area Block 14. Other relief camps have been established in Ibrahim Haideri, Keti Bandar in district Thatta, Reri Goth, district Badin and other coastal areas of the province. Doctors and paramedical teams are present in the camps with sufficient supply of medicines and other essential relief goods.

Deputy Convener of the Co-ordination Committee Anis Qaimkhani visited the main relief camp at the KKF Head Office along with Wasay Jalil, Salim Tajik, Syed Shakir Ali and Qasim Ali Raza. They oversaw the work being done by the volunteers. They asked the volunteers to prepare ration kits sufficient for a family for at least 15 days. They said that the ration kits should include dry milk, tea, sugar, pulses, grains and other necessary things of daily use.
