MQM has decided to quit Federal and Provincial Ministries

MQM has decided that its members of Assemblies will not sit on the opposition
benches but would sit on treasury benches

MQM’s Ministers, Advisors and Special Assistants handed over their resignation
to the Co-ordination Committee Karachi

Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has decided to quit federal and provincial ministries. This decision was taken after marathon sessions of members of MQM co-ordination committee, Federal and Provincial Ministers, advisors to the Chief Minister of Sindh, special assistants and members of the National and Provincial Assemblies presided by the Convenor Dr. Imran Farooq this evening. Members of the MQM Co-ordination Committee from London also participated in these meetings.

 

MQM has decided that its members of Assemblies will not sit on the opposition benches but would sit on treasury benches. Prior to the Press briefing MQM’s Ministers, Advisors and Special Assistants handed over their resignation to the Co-ordination Committee in Karachi and unanimously decided to quit the government as quickly and as possible.

 

Latest: The Central Co-ordination Committee of the MQM has instructed its Ministers, Advisors and Special Assistants to formally lodge their resignations to the Provincial Governor and the Chief Minister respectively while the Federal Ministers including the Minister of State would formally lodge their resignation to the President immediately. All the Provincial and Federal Ministers including the Minister of State,Advisors and Special Assistants have been instructed to surrender their privileges with immediate effect.
