ALTAF HUSSAIN PROMISES FULL CO-OPERATION TO THE HOME MINISTER FOR PEACE EFFORTS

Provincial Home Minister of Sindh Manzoor Wassan telephoned the Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain and thanked him on behalf of the Sindh Government for his efforts to establishing peace in the province particularly Karachi. Mr Wassan told Mr Hussain that he was greatly impressed by his feelings and emotions to bring peace in the province and for creating harmony and unity among various segments of the society. Mr Wassan praised that Mr Hussain is a big leader and added that his struggle for the public cannot be overlooked. He said he valued the selfless manner in which Mr Hussain had served the province and his services were recognized by all true Sindhis. Mr Wassan said that he look upon Mr Hussain for his brotherly guidance.
Mr Hussain lauded the positive approach of Mr Wassan and said that he was ready to lay down his life for the rights of Sindh and for its peace. He said that it was his desire that a durable peace comes in Karachi soon and the wheel of progress continued to move forward. He prayed that the land of Sindh might become a cradle of peace and love. He assured full co-operation to Mr Wassan for bringing the peace of Karachi back. Mr Wassan thanked Mr Hussain for his co-operation towards establishing peace in Karachi.
ALTAF HUSSAIN CONDEMNS ATTACKS ON OFFICES OF TV CHANNELS

Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has strongly condemned the attacks on the offices of private television channels Samaa, Geo TV and Jang Group by certain elements in different cities of Sindh. Mr Hussain said that the attacks were aimed at undermining the freedom of the press and media and cannot be justified at any cost. Mr Hussain said that everyone had the right to disagree with the reports and analyses appearing in press and on electronic media but he added that carrying out attacks on the offices of press and television channels and manhandling of journalists were worthy of being strongly condemned. Mr Altaf Hussain express solidarity with the journalist community and demanded swift action against the perpetrators of these attacks.
ALTAF HUSSAIN CONCERNED OVER ILLNESS OF THE DAUGHTER OF MUHAMMAD ANWER

Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has expressed his concerns over the sudden illness of the younger daughter of senior member of the Co-ordination Committee Mr Muhammad Anwer. He appealed to people to pray for the good health and speedy recovery of Anum Anwar who is admitted in a local hospital in London for the past several days. Mr Hussain has played a significant role in the upbringing of Anum Anwer and her sudden illness had greatly disturbed him.
