Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr
Altaf Hussain has said that no one in the province of Sindh
would be left unemployed if Sindh was given its due share.
He asked if the country can survive if the 70 per cent
revenue generated by the Sindh province was taken out.
Mr Hussain said that the MQM was the only political party
that had not signed the NFC Award for over five years. It
was the MQM that opposed the Kalabagh Dam project because

does not want the division of Sindh. The MQM wants to create

SUKKUR CONVENTION
KARACHI: 16TH JANUARY 2012:
Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has postponed its upcoming
Convention “Prosperous Sindh, Strong Pakistan” scheduled to be held in Jinnah
Municipal Stadium, Sukkur on 20th January in view of the current
situation in the country. The decision has been taken in a joint meeting of the
Co-ordination Committee. The new date of the Sukkur Convention will be announced
at a later stage.

MQM to
hold public meeting in Sukkur soon’, Daily Times
KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain has announced that
the MQM would soon hold a historic public meeting in Sukkur.
He said this while talking to the members of the zonal committee of MQM Sukkur
Zone via telephone on Monday.
The date of the public meeting will be announced after consultation with the
Co-ordination Committee, Interior Sindh Tanzimi Committee, and zones.
He said MQM workers of Sukkur had rendered unforgettable sacrifices for the
party and they had faced challenges and hardships with courage and
determination.
The announcement of public meeting in Sukkur has sent a wave of jubilation among
the MQM officials and they assured Hussain that they would not disappoint him.
He directed the Co-ordination Committee to give full co-operation to the Sukkur
Zone for organising a public meeting.
