MQM ESTABLISHES COMPLAINT CENTERS TO COLLECT DETAILS OF
LOSSES AS A RESULT OF ARSON, LOOT AND PLUNDER

AFFECTEES TO SUBMIT DETAILS OF THEIR LOSSES- MQM

The MQM Coordination Committee has established complaint centre at the MQM Head Office Nine Zero to collect details of arson, loot, violence and plunder that followed the assassination of PPP Chairperson Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto on 27th December 2007.
Beside
Karachi other complaint centers have also been established in different MQM Zones throughout interior Sindh.


According to details, for three days following the assassination of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, the anti-social elements attacked the homes and businesses of MQM workers, supporters and citizens, their properties were set alight, hundreds of banks, factories and patrol stations were burnt, hundreds of cars were set alight, and common citizens were subjected to loot plunder and were deprived of their life savings.


To gather details of the losses MQM has established its central complaint center at Nine Zero Azizabad where its office bearers will be collecting information and particulars in this regard. Similarly, in interior Sindh, complaint centers have been established at the different MQM Zonal Offices comprising of Zonal Committee Members who will be collecting the particulars.


The details collected from traders, mill and factory owners, shopkeepers and common citizens from all over Sindh will later be presented to the Government for compensation to the victims. The MQM Coordination Committee has appealed to the affected citizens of loot, plunder and arson to contact the MQM Complaint Centers in their respective cities to submit the details of their losses. Co-ordination Committee further said that affected people may contact on the Complaint Center in Karachi on the Phone No. 680 7634 and 680 7632 or may fax their details on Fax No. 680 7630.
