SHEIKH AMJAD BY THE HAQIQI TERRORISTS IN KARACHI, PAKISTAN
According
to reports, in the evening of 26 January 2002, armed Haqiqi terrorists
riding on two motorcycles forced their way into the residence of Mohammad
Anwar in Area 36-B of Landhi in Karachi.
As they were trying to kidnap Mohammad Anwar, his uncle Sheikh Amjad,
who was passing by, came to the rescue of Mohammad Anwar.
However, the Haqiqi terrorists armed with kalashinkovs, overpowered
both Mohammad Anwar and Sheikh Amjad and took them to unknown destination.
Soon afterwards, their dead bodies were found near the K-Area of
Korangi in Karachi............Complete

house of Nadeem Shah and arrested him. Nadeem Shah 27, son of Nazeer
Ali is a worker of MQM Unit 4, Sector Surjani Town, Karachi, Pakistan. He is being
detained at Jamsheed Quarter Police Station.

The personnel of Korangi Police Station, led by Mohammad Bux raided
the house of Rizwan. In his absence they ransacked the house and
misbehaved with his family members. Rizwan is a Joint In-charge of MQM Unit
76, Sector Korangi, Karachi, Pakistan.

The Personnel of Saudabad Police Station raided the house of Faheem
Ahmed and arrested him. Faheem Ahmed son of Kabir Ahmed is a worker of MQM
Unit 198, Sector Malir, Karachi, Pakistan. He is being detained at unknown
place.
At around 4.00 a.m.,
the personnel of Shah Faisal Police Station, led by Sub-Inspector Jawaid
raided the house of Mukhtar. In his absence they ransacked the house and
misbehaved with his family members. Mukhtar is an office bearer of MQM Unit
105, Sector Shah Faisal, Karachi, Pakistan.

The personnel of Jamsheed Quarter Police Station and C.I.A Police raided
the house of Ahmed Ali and arrested him. Ahmed Ali 28, son of Mohammad Ali
is a worker of MQM Unit 4, Sector Surjani Town, Karachi, Pakistan. He is being
subjected brutal tortured.
The personnel of

arrested him. Akber Hussain 30 son of Akhter Hussain is a worker of MQM Unit
4, Sector Surjani Town, Karachi, Pakistan. He is being detained at Jamsheed Quarter

Burglary In-charge Mohammad Bux raided the temporary residence of Imdad
Mohammad. In his absence they ransacked the house and arrested his brother
Faqeer Mohammad. Imdad Mohammad son of Ghulam Hussain is a worker of
MQM Unit 70, Sector Korangi, Karachi, Pakistan.

Joint-Incharge of MQM Unit 165, Sector Liaquatabad, Karachi, Pakistan. He is
being detained at Super Market Police Station.

AN MQM WORKER BADER UL ISLAM MURDERED BY UNKNOWN
TERRORISTS NEAR MQM HEAD OFFICE
Karachi - 7 January 2002
Today, at around 8 p.m., two masked gunmen attacked the Khursheed Begum Memorial
Hall at Nine Zero, the MQM Head Office in Karachi, Pakistan. The terrorists,
riding on a motorcycle, armed with lethal automatic weapons opened fire at those
present at the Khursheed Begum Memorial Hall, Karachi, Pakistan. As a result, Mr Bader Ul Islam son
of Zameer Ul Islam, an MQM worker of Federal B Area, who got married last week,
was shot several times.
Mr Bader Ul Islam was immediately taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where
despite the determined efforts of the emergency staff, he succumbed to his
injuries. At present we await further details.
Mr Altaf Hussain, MQM Founder and Leader, as strongly condemned the terrorist
attack upon the MQM Head Office in Karachi and termed it is a continuation of
the malicious conspiracy of the Establishment against the MQM.
Mr Hussain extended his fullest sympathies to the family members of Bader Ul
Islam. In a condolence message to the family members, Mr Hussain prayed to
Almighty Allah to rest the soul of Bader Ul Islam in peace and provide solace to
the family members to bear this irreparable loss.
The Members of MQM Coordination Committee while strongly condemning this
cowardly act of terrorism has demanded of the present Government to immediately
apprehend the terrorists responsible for the brutal and barbaric murder of Bader
Ul Islam.

Aziz and arrested him. Pasha Aziz 28, son of Abdul Aziz is a worker of
MQM Unit 71, Korangi Sector, Karachi, Pakistan. He is being subjected brutal torture.

SOS -- LIFE IN DANGER OF
MOHAMMAD TARIQ KHAN
On 5 November 2001, heavy contingents of CIA
Police, plain clothed armed personnel of law enforcement agencies
and paramilitary rangers unlawfully arrested Mohammad Tariq son
of Mohammad Yaseen, a worker of MQM Korangi Sector, from Hijrat
Colony in Defence Housing Society, Karachi, Pakistan. He is a former
Member of MQM Korangi Sector Committee. He was immediately
taken to unknown State-run torture cell, where he was brutally
tortured for five days. In total disregard to his
constitutional and human rights, he was not produced before any
court of law during this illegal detention. Moreover, he
was subjected to electric shocks, cigarette burnings, tortured
mentally and beaten physically, etc. After his shifting to
Central Prison Karachi, he was kept in solitary confinement with
no recourse to any judicial remedy.
Mohammad Tariq Khan 38, son of Yaseen Khan, resident of House No
1537, Sector 32-E, Nasir Colony, Karachi, Pakistan. He is a
worker of MQM Unit 69, Sector Korangi.
Alarmingly, on 3 January 2002, at around 4.15 p.m., the personnel
of Korangi Police Station and Zaman Town Police Station, suddenly
arrived at the Central Prison Karachi and took Mohammad Tariq
Khan away to an unknown destination. It should be noted
that to commence yet another MQM Crush Operation, the
Establishment has again brought back the notorious police
officers involved in the extra judicial killings of more than
15000 MQM leaders, office bearers, workers and supporters since
June 1992. One of the notorious police officer Bahauddin
Babar has been posted as the Station House Officer (SHO) of
Korangi Police Station. Another notorious police officer Mohammad
Bakhsh made Incharge Burglary Cell at Deputy Superintendent of
Police’s office in Korangi, is reported to have taken direct
custody of Mohammad Tariq Khan.
Keeping in view the past excesses of these notorious police
officers and their capabilities to extrajudicially execute and
inflict horrific torture upon innocent MQM workers and
supporters, we are extremely concerned and anxious for the life
of Mohammad Tariq Khan. We strongly apprehend that at this
very moment Mohammad Tariq Khan is being brutally tortured and
being compelled to sign a pre-written confessional statement,
prepared by the Authorities, maliciously involving him in illegal
acts so as to malign MQM nationally and internationally.

Personnel of Korangi Police Station raided the house of Maqsood
of MQM Unit 71, Sector Korangi, Karachi at his Korangi resident
on 30 December 2001 at 5.00 in the morning. Maqsood was not
in the house he was living at his new residence in Defence
Society, Karachi. Police took one of his relative Mr Abbas
to show them the new residence in Defence. During the raid
at Defence House they arrested Maqsood’s wife and Anis MQM
worker of MQM Unit 71, Sector Korangi. They both are kept
in Korangi Police Station with no Charges.
