BRITISH DEPUTY HIGH COMMISSION VISITS NINE ZERO

KARACHI: 2ND FEBRUARY 2012:

Deputy High Commissioner of Britain in Karachi Mr Francis Campbell visited MQM Head Office Nine Zero on Thursday and held meeting with the members of the Co-ordination Committee of the MQM. Members of the committee present on the occasion included Mrs Nasrin Jalil, Syed Shoaib Ahmed Bukhari, Dr Sagheer Ahmed, Raza Haroon, Mustafa Kamal, Ashfaq Mangi, Gulfaraz Khan Khattak, Salim Tajik and Wasay Jalil. Member of Central Executive Council and former ambassador Umer Khan Ali Sherzai was also present on the occasion. The meeting was held in cordial environment in which the political situation developing in the country and other issues of mutual interests came under discussion.

Member of the Co-ordination Committee Syed Mustafa Kamal informed Mr Campbell about the practical struggle of the MQM, its political history and the operation that was done against it in 1992. Later the visiting the honourable guests went to the monument constructed in memory of the martyrs of and laid floral wreaths. Mr Campbell wrote his views in the guest book. He also visited different wings of the MQM located in the Khursheed Begum Secretariat and appreciated the work being done in an organized manner.  

The Co-ordination Committee presented Mr Campbell the book “Pictorial Biography of Altaf Hussain” about the life history of Mr Hussain. Earlier when the guests reached Nine Zero, they were warmly welcomed by the Co-ordination Committee, elected representatives and presented bouquets on behalf of Mr Hussain.
