PEOPLE OF SINDH WILL CONTINUE TO BUILD AN ENVIRONMENT OF PEACE LOVE: ALTAF HUSSAIN

ELEMENTS SPREADING HATE IN SINDH WILL IN THEIR ATTEMPTS

LONDON: 1ST JANUARY 2012:

Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has said that the elements trying to spread hatred among the people of Sindh would fail in their attempts, and the conscientious people of Sindh would continue to build the environment of peace, love, unity and brotherhood by following the message of Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai. He said this while speaking to the office-bearers and workers in the Sukkur Zone office of the MQM.

Mr Hussain congratulated everyone on the historic success of the public meeting in Sukkur and praised them for their tireless efforts. He said that the practical demonstration made by the Sindhi-speaking, the Urdu-speaking and other nationalities by embracing each other was heartening. He said that it was unfortunate that the so-called nationalist elements tried to undermine the peaceful environment through their violent strike and terrorizing the people.

Mr Hussain asked the office-bearers and workers of the MQM Sukkur Zone not to get disappointed by the negative tactics of the elements spreading hate. These elements would ultimately fail in their sinister efforts.

Mr Hussain paid tribute to the people of Sukkur and various communities living in the adjoining areas and the people belonging to different religions for making the Sukkur public meeting a great success. He also exchanged greetings of the upcoming birthday of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him).

MQM STRONGLY CRITICIZES SHARP INCREASE IN POL AND CNG PRICES

KARACHI: 1ST FEBRUARY 2012:

Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has strongly criticized the new increase in POL products and CNG and said that it would bring in its fold a wave of the price-hike. The committee said that the problems being faced by the public would increase manifold as the sharp increase in POL and CNG prices would erode their buying power even for items of basic needs.

The committee said that the economic policies of the country should be formulated for the benefit of the people, but the government was continually increasing the POL prices which was unfortunate. The committee demanded of President Asif Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani to take back the increase in the prices. The committee said that the process of making policies against the interest of the people should be discontinued. It called for taking urgent steps for providing relief to the people.
