CO-ORDINATION COMMITTEE CONDEMNS MURDERS OF ST WORKERS

The Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has strongly condemned the double murder of Sunni Tehrik workers Wasim Qadri and Danish Qadri as a result of gunfire from unknown terrorists. The Committee demanded of the government to bring the perpetrators of the heinous crime to book and dispense justice. The Committee expressed sympathy with the officials of Sunni Tehrik and the family of the deceased workers and prayed for divine forgiveness of the deceased workers.

MQM PARLIAMENTARIANS CONDEMN INCREASE IN POWER TARIFF OF KESC

MQM Parliamentarians has taken strong exception of the decision by National Electrical Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) to allow an increase of 33 paisa in the tariff of Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) and have termed it as unjustified and irrational. The stressed upon the government to review the procedure for allowing increases in the tariff of electricity to distribution companies every now and then. They said that the KESC should invest in improving the distribution network in order to reduce its transmission and distribution losses and try to provide quality service to the consumers. They regretted that despite repeated hike in electricity tariff the performance of the company raises many questions.
