ONLY THE CORRUPTS ARE AFRAID OF A REVOLUTION: ALTAF HUSSAIN

KARACHI: 11TH FEBRUARY 2011

Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement Mr Altaf Hussain has said that a revolution on the lines of French Revolution was imminent in the country should be prepared to free the country from the tentacles of foreign powers by supporting the people. He asked the courts to investigate if Altaf Hussain had any property in the country or abroad and if any property was found in his name in Pakistan or abroad, he should be hanged publicly. He was addressing a large assembly of MQM workers and supporters at Nine Zero on the arrival for renowned former test cricketer Sarfaraz Nawaz.

Welcoming Sarfaraz Nawaz at Nine Zero on joining MQM Mr Altaf Hussain said that a system of corruption, oppression, injustices had held sway in the country for the past sixty three years. “Prices are skyrocketing and people are forced to commit suicide and sell their children because of poverty and unemployment. People are impatiently waiting for a new system in Pakistan that could deliver them and save their coming generations.”

“People like Sarfaraz Nawaz who want to see the country on the path of peace and prosperity are eagerly joining MQM in big numbers which is signalling clearly that a peoples revolution like the French Revolution, Turkish Revolution, Cuban Revolution, Chinese Revolution and the Russian revolution is knocking at the door of Pakistan.”

“Some anchors and leaders of other political parties are always asking questions in TV talk shows as to what type of revolution MQM talks about. The fact of the matter is that those who have usurped national wealth with both hands and have piled up inestimable wealth and properties through corruption are afraid of being publicly hanged if a revolution came. He whose hands are not blemished by corruption should have nothing to fear about. I warn these corrupt people who cower at the thought of a coming revolution that every single paisa of the national wealth would be recovered.”

“People always ask as to who was a patriotic general. A patriotic general is one who loves the country, its people and its boundaries. A patriotic general is one who prefers to give his life instead of laying arms before enemies, one who does not sell national honour and install corrupt feudal lords in the government by trampling elected civilian governments. I ask such patriotic generals, officers and men to get ready to free the country from the clutches of foreign powers otherwise the people would hold them accountable after the revolution.”

Referring to the issue of Raymond Davis he stressed upon the US government to let the courts decide about it in accordance with the law. He asked the US government not to browbeat Pakistan else the people of Pakistan would lay down their lives in order to protect national honour. He said that if the US government decided to release Dr Aafia, we would try to convince the families of people to accept blood money and forgive Raymond Davis.
