THE MUSLIMS ARE SUBDUEDIN THE WORLD BECAUSE THEY HAVE DISTANCED THEMSELVES FROM KNOWLEDGE

Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement Mr Altaf Hussain has said that the Quran is a book of knowledge and eternal guidance for the mankind and Muhammad (P.B.U.H) is the last and final messenger of Allah who came as a mercy for the peoples. With the coming of Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H) the religion was completed. He was addressing a large gathering of religious scholars from different schools of thoughts in Lal Qila Ground Azizabad. Mr Altaf Hussain spoke at great length in the backdrop of the celebrations being made throughout Pakistan for the day on which Allah Almighty sent his beloved prophet in the word and through him consummated His religion.

“The Book of Allah is a source of guiding and will continue to inspire mankind till the Last Day. It is full of knowledge and wisdom. There is not a branch of knowledge that does not have a reference if we make deliberations in it.”

“The Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) presented before the world the crux of his teachings on the occasion of his Last Sermon. It transcends all the messages and manifestoes that have ever been presented in this world. It encompasses the message of dignity of mankind, his welfare and a supreme charter of the Human Rights. We are grateful to Allah that he made us one of the followers of His beloved prophet.”

“We all follow the Book of Allah and believe in Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H) and hence it does not become us to strike the necks of each other and still claim affinity with the Prophet. When we believe in the oneness of Allah, His messenger and the Quran then we should not increase differences among each other to such an extent that we start killing each other considering it a noble deed. When we kill each other on the basis of difference in religious opinion and interpretation then we negate the message of the Quran.”

“Pakistan and the Muslim Ummah are passing through the most critical time. Muslims have been subdued by the non-Muslims everywhere. Whether it is money, technology, military equipment and other necessary requirements they are beholden to the non-Muslims. We can wrest ourselves from the clutches of these non-Muslim powers if and only if we become true adherents of the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H).”

“When we implore them for financial assistance in order to run our business then we should be prepared to receive their dictation as well. Raymond Davis killed people in Pakistan and now the US is demanding immediate release otherwise they will stop our aid. Does this on our part not reflect a weakness of our belief?”

“Dr Aafia was arrested and was sentenced to 86 years. The western countries boast of human rights and rule of law. They say that the court has convicted Dr Aafia hence she cannot be released. We also have courts and the case of Raymond Davis is pending before the courts. Let the court decide about the case.”

“The Holy Prophet exhorted Muslims to acquire worldly knowledge as well besides religious knowledge. We are overpowered in the world because we have distanced ourselves from knowledge. We are only content with offering prayers five times a day, Hajj, Umra, fasting forgetting the teachings of the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H).”

In the end there was a question answer session in which the religious scholars asked question and Mr Altaf Hussain gave answers to their question. Members of the Co-ordination Committee, Parliamentarians, office-bearers of MQM and noted religious scholars were present on the occasion.
