MQM Observed 26th Death Anniversary of Mohtarma Khursheed Begum all over the country

26^TH DEATH ANNIVERSARY OF MOTHER OF ALTAF HUSSAIN OBSERVED WITH REVERENCE

KARACHI: 5^TH DECEMBER 2011

The 26th death anniversary of the mother of MQM founder and leader Mr Altaf Hussain was observed today with reverence. Gatherings were held at the MQM offices in Interior Sindh, Punjab, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Fata, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. Rich tributes were paid to Mohtarma Khursheed Begum (late) fateha and recitation of the Holy Quran was offered for the blessing of the departed soul.

The main programme in this connection was held in Lal Qila Ground Azizabad, near Nine Zero. Mr Hussain’s sister Saira Begum, Deputy Conveners of the Co-ordination Committee Dr Farooq Sattar, Anis Ahmed Qaimkhani, members of the committee, parliamentarian, office-bearers of various wings of the MQM and a large number of MQM workers and supporters besides relatives of Mohtarma Khursheed Begum (late) were present on the occasion.

Maulana Jamil Rathore offered fateha and prayed for the divine blessings for the souls of the mother of Mr Hussain, his brother Nasir Hussain, his nephew Arif Hussain and other martyrs. Special prayers were offered for the good health and long life of Mr Hussain.

Meanwhile, Members of the Co-ordination Committee Wasay Jalil, Raza Haroon, Salim Tajik and MPA Abdul Moeed paid a visit to the grave of Mohtarma Khursheed Begum and laid a floral wreath. They also offered fateha.
