ALTAF HUSSAIN HAILS ADDRESS OF PRESIDENT ZARDARI

LONDON: 27TH DECEMBER 2011:

Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has hailed the address of President Asif Zardari on the occasion of the death anniversary of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. He said that the positive and balanced views expressed by President Zardari in his speech were reassuring for populist forces in the country. He said that it was a right step in the direction of strengthening democracy and reinforcing democratic institutions in the country. It would also augur well for improving relations among institutions and for the betterment of the country. He said that the policies given by President Zardari for improving the economic and financial problems were in the interest of the country. He said that moderate approach was highly necessary for continuation of democracy in the country.

MESSAGE ON THE OCCASION OF FOURTH DEATH ANNIVERSARY

Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has said that Benazir Bhutto was a great leader of Asia who was martyred by the evil forces. In a message on the occasion of the fourth death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto, Mr Hussain said that all those democratic forces that had been raising their voices for the rights of the rights of the poor people were saddened today, and they were paying tribute to the martyred leader. He said that Benazir Bhutto was slain because of her efforts for promotion of democracy, strengthening of democratic institutions and for the rights of the deprived people. He prayed for the divine blessings on the soul of Benazir Bhutto.

 

ALTAF HUSSAIN APPEALS FOR PUBLIC DONATION FOR ESTABLISHING MQM OFFICE IN MULTAN

LONDON: 27TH DECEMBER 2011:

Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has appealed for public donations for establishing a party office in southern Punjab. He said that after the success of the Multan Convention, there were persistent demands from the people of Multan to establish a central office of the MQM in Multan for increasing party work in southern Punjab. The MQM was facing financial constraints in opening the party office. He said that the MQM is the representative party of the poor and middle class and there were no feudal lords and industrialists in it. He said that all expenses of the party were met by public donations. He appealed to the people to donate generously for establishing an MQM office in Multan. Donations can be deposited in MCB Bank Account Number 1000916 of Water Pump Branch, Karachi. The title of the account is MQM and the Branch Code is 073.

 

ALTAF HUSSAIN OFFERS CONDOLENCES ON THE DEATH OF SHAH FARIDUL HAQUE

MQM DELEGATION ATTENDS THE FUNERAL

Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has expressed his grief and sorrow over the death of the senior leader of JUP Shah Faridul Haque. He said that Shah Faridul Haque was a researcher, educationist and learned scholar. The void created by his death would not be filled for long time. He offered his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul.

Meanwhile provincial ministers Rauf Siddiqui, Syed Sardar Ahmed, Shaikh Muhammad Afzal, and MPAs Nadeem Maqbool and Muzammil Qureshi attended the funeral of the deceased central leader of the JUP. They condoled with the son of Shah Faridul Haque on behalf of MQM leader Mr Altaf Hussain.
