MQM WILL RAISE PROBLEMS OF SOUTHERN PUNJAB IN NATIONAL ASSEMBLY: ALTAF HUSSAIN

LONDON: 26TH DECEMBER 2011:

Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has said that the MQM had not talked about the issues of southern Punjab in words only. It would raise the problems forcefully in the National Assembly. He said this while talking to the officials and workers of MQM Multan Zone telephone.

The workers congratulated Mr Hussain on the success of the Multan Convention. Mr Hussain also commended the workers and asked the Co-ordination Committee to hold a reception in honour of the workers who had worked day and night to make the convention a success.

Mr Hussain said that the MQM could no longer be ignored in Punjab after the success of the Multan Convention. He said that the message of the MQM was spreading throughout the country because of the eternal sacrifices given by the martyrs.

Mr Hussain asked the workers of the APMSO to become active as the youths were the forerunner of any movement.  He said that the political workers in Pakistan used to be demeaned and ignored, but the MQM raised their status. It was the outlook of the MQM towards its workers who had forced other parties also to think about their workers.

Mr Hussain said it was because of the dignity and honour the MQM gave to its workers, that they remained steadfast in the face of hardships and ruthless state operation.
