PEOPLE SHOULD COLLECT RATION FOR AT LEAST ONE MONTH: ALTAF HUSSAIN

ELEMENTS REVILING THE CHILDREN OF FOUNDERS OF THE COUNTRY SHOULD KNOW THAT THEY HAD GOT THE FRUIT OF FREEDOM BECAUSE OF THE SACRIFICES RENDERED BY OUR FOREFATHERS

Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has told the people of Sindh particularly Karachi and the urban areas of other parts of Sindh that no action has been initiated against the persons responsible for perpetrating bloodbath, setting ablaze building and factories, torching motor cycles of labourers, and elements responsible for burning down the grid stations and feeders of the Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) in the presence of Police and Rangers despite the lapse of first 24 hours of his 48-hour notice to the government. He said that in the present circumstances people are forced to live a helpless life of misery and poverty. He appealed to the people to buy the ration of at least one month keeping in view the callousness of the government and the law-enforcing agencies even if they have to sell something for buying the ration.

Mr Hussain said that our forefather had come to Pakistan in 1947 after burning down their boats. He added that we are facing repeated genocides, killings, mayhem, and state and government repression with patience and perseverance. He warned that we have now burnt the boats of our patience. He said that we will prefer the death of honour to the life of disgrace. He asked the people to prepare themselves mentally and physically.

Mr Hussain said that the elements who are reviling the children of the founders of the country should know that they had got the fruit of freedom because of our sacrifices. Addressing the people at the helm of affairs Mr Hussain said that we want to make it clear that we will not bow down before threats, terrorism and violence, we would willingly walk in the footsteps of Hazrat Imam Hussain and lay down our heads with pride.
