IMPOSE BAN ON PARTIES WHOSE MEMBERS HAVE DESECRATED THE NAME OF ALLAH, THE HOLY QURAN AND HADDITH IN THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY AND ALSO REVOKE their MEMBERSHIP FROM THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY-ALTAF HUSSAIN
Mr Altaf Hussain, founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) demanded of the Government to immediately impose ban on the parties whose leaders and members have desecrated the name of Allah, the Holy Quran, Prophet hood, Sunnah, Haddith, register cases against them for sacrilege of religion of Islam and Pakistan and revoke their membership of the National Assembly. He demanded this during his telephonic address to the people in Karachi who had gathered in hundred of thousands at the “Tibet Centre”, M.A. Jinnah Road, Karachi to attend the unprecedented and historical “Protest Rally” against the blasphemous and profane acts of the leaders and members of Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA), alliance of the so-called religious parties.
A large number of women, scholars from different schools of religious thoughts, MQM workers and people of Karachi attended the protest rally which stretched from Tibet Centre to Guru Mandir where MQM leader Altaf Hussain addressed the protestors on telephone from London. Other party leaders and religious scholars also addressed the rally. MQM workers and party leaders wore black ribbon on their arms and chanted slogan against the MMA leaders who tore the copies of the amended Hudood Bill Ordinance containing the names of Allah, the Holy Quran and Haddith. They were holding large banners inscribed slogans of condemnation against the MMA leaders.
Mr Altaf Hussain, in his opening remarks recited the parts of Quranic verse AL-MUNAFIQOON (THE HYPOCRITES) chapter 63, that translates as follows:
“When the hypocrites come to you, they say: We bear witness that you are most surely Allah's Messenger; and Allah knows that you are most surely His Messenger, and Allah bears witness that the hypocrites are surely liars. They make their oaths a shelter, and thus turn away from Allah's way; surely evil is that which they do. That is because they believe, then disbelieve, so a seal is set upon their hearts so that they do not understand. And when you see them, their persons will please you, and if they speak, you will listen to their speech; (they are) as if they were big pieces of wood clad with garments; they think every cry to be against them. They are the enemy, therefore beware of them; may Allah destroy them, whence are they turned back? And when it is said to them: Come, the Messenger of Allah will ask forgiveness for you, they turn back their heads and you may see them turning away while they are big with pride. It is alike to them whether you beg forgiveness for them or do not beg forgiveness for them; Allah will never forgive them; surely Allah does not guide the transgressing people”.
Addressing the gathering, Mr Hussain said that MMA was involved in Nishtar Park bomb blast on Eidul Miladual Nabi gathering that killed religious scholars and innocent people. But these people tired to accuse MQM for the blast to sabotage the Sindh government. He challenged MMA leader Qazi Hussain Ahmed statement who said that in Hudood Ordinance amended Bill, names of Allah, Quran, Prophet and Islamic Republic of Pakistan and verse were not written while Mr Hussain unequivocally said that in the amended bill the name of Allah was written on page 19 of the Hudood Ordinance Bill and word Quran is used 12 times from page 15 to 20 and on page 19 pronouncement of the prophet is written. He advised small groups to withdraw from the MMA alliance adding that the MMA leaders always used religion for their vested interests and termed them hypocrite. He added that MQM always told people to respect other religions and respect their personalities.
Mr Altaf Hussain asserted that MMA had done a blasphemous act that could not be tolerated and no Muslim should tolerate the blasphemous act and profanity by the MMA leaders and vowed that MQM will continue to fight against the evil forces adding that Altaf Hussain's head will not bow down against the evil forces but would be sacrificed for sake of truth.
