NO ROOM FOR CRIMNAL ELEMENTS IN MQM…ALTAF HUSSAIN

ALTAF HUSSAIN DEMANDS INDISCRIMINATE ACTION AGAINST THE CRIMINALS

LONDON: 16TH APRIL 2011:

The Founder and Leader of the Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has stated unequivocally that the MQM is a peace-loving organization that believes in peaceful political struggle. He declared that the criminal elements were not present in the MQM past and they have no place in the MQM today as well. He said this while talking to the members of the Co-ordination Committee.

Mr Altaf Hussain said that the MQM has been spreading its message in the public by peaceful canvassing and has never tolerated the infiltration of criminal elements in MQM’s rank and file. He said that whenever any worker was found involved in any illegal activity he was expelled from the party.

Mr Altaf Hussain stated categorically that if any worker of the MQM is found involved in any criminal activity either in Karachi or elsewhere in Pakistan he would not only be expelled from the party but also the government will be asked to take action against the offending worker according to the law. He asked the workers as well to keep a close watch among them and inform the concerned party officials immediately if someone misuses the good name of the MQM for his criminal activities.

Mr Altaf Hussain deplored and condemned the brutal killings of the MQM workers and other people and demanded of the government to take indiscriminate action against the killers. He also demanded firm and impartial action against the criminals involved in extortion, targeted-killings, street crimes and other criminal activities. He said that the city should be cleansed of the criminal elements and the life and property of the citizens should be safeguarded.
