Armed Haqiqi terrorists killed two MQM workers and injured two workers in Landhi area. Injured workers are in critical condition. According to details Saturday evening around 7’ O Clock Armed Haqiqi terrorists opened fire on Maqbool Ahmed, Abdul Basit, Asif and Abdul Razzak, workers of the MQM Landhi Unit 89 in Landhi No 1 area.

The attackers were armed with Kalashnikov and other sophisticated weapons. They opened fire on the MQM workers from point blank range seriously injuring four MQM workers.

They were rushed to the Jinnah Hospital and worker Maqbool Ahmed 30 years old died in the hospital. After a few hours another worker Abdul Razzaq 35 years old also died during treatment in the hospital. Three injured workers later shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. Operation of Abdul Basit is in progress at the point of time.

After receiving information of the incident Member of the MQM Co-ordination Committee Dr. Asim Raza, MNA Khawja Sohail, Town Nazim North Nazimabad Mumtaz Hameed, Naib Town Nazim Ahsanullah Khan, Office bearers and workers reached hospital and collected details of the incidents.

Mr. Altaf Hussain, founder and leader of the MQM strongly condemned the killings of MQM workers Maqbool Ahmed and Abdul Razzak by the armed terrorists in Landhi. Mr. Hussain expressed his profound sorrow over the martyrdom of Maqbool Ahmed and Abdul Razzak. He expressed his heartfelt condolence to the bereaved families of the martyrs. He prayed that May All mighty Allah rest the souls of Maqbool Ahmed and Abdul Razzak in heaven and grant strength to the family members to endure the loss of their loved ones. He also prayed for the early recovery of the injured workers.

Meanwhile, Namaz-e-Janaza of Maqbool Ahmed and Abdul Razzak Shaheed will be offered at Jinnah Ground, Azizabad on Sunday 2.00pm and burial will take place in Yasinabad graveyard. MQM Co-ordination Committee appealed to the workers of the MQM to attend the Namaz-e-Janaza and burial ceremonies in large number and pay tributes to the martyrs.
