  Elections 2002 in Pakistan
After the announcement of the results of the Elections 2002 in Pakistan, the MMA leaders and the commentators of the published and electronic media supporting the MMA (Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal) claimed that the victory of the MMA in the Pakistani Elections was the reflection or impact of the Afghan War.  But it was amazing for those having political consciousness and awareness as to why this impact was not felt in the largest populated province of Punjab? Does it mean that the people of Punjab do not love Islam or have no sympathy for their Afghan brethren or are secular? Does it mean that the Punjab is the only secular and pro-America province while the rest of the provinces are anti-American? Is it not true that the central offices of all the religious parties are based in the Punjab province and the Establishment that provides training, funding, hire and harbour the Jihadi Groups also hail from the Punjab?
